How does this relate to Flowmetering?

The Tinytag can be used on a static installation and will accurately record volumes of flow through the meter between specified times.  For instance if it is set to record once every minute it will capture the flow volume data either in graph or numeric form and clearly show the total volume passing through the Flowmeter every minute.  This data is easily downloaded on a laptop computer and transfers to an Excel sheet for further analysis and record keeping.  On this setting of one minute intervals the Tinytag will log for a total of 45 days before the information needs to be downloaded and the logger reset.

Electronics

This testing kit provides a quick, simple and accurate analysis of the plant available Nitrogen in wet and dry slurry/manure.

The test takes five minutes and the result is given in an easily understood format.

Each kit contains the necessary chemicals for between 30 and 50 tests and replacement chemicals are available at a very reasonable price.

The kit also contains a dry matter and phosphorous meter. 

All the equipment is contained in a strong carry case with full instructions, and is currently available in 32 different countries throughout the world.

Although your Flowmeter is IP67 rated against water ingress, a need has been recognised for additional protection due to the harsh environment of the Slurry Industry.  

We have therefore designed and manufactured a plastic protective cover which will prevent contamination in the first instance, and give additional protection when washing down machines.

It must however still be borne in mind that the Flowmeter is an electrical instrument and should be treated as such, and in line with the manufacturers recommendations.

As the signal Converter contains delicate electrical equipment it benefits from additional protection when used in an Agricultural environment.

Krohne Flowmeter with Remote Display

This is an alternative application when the Flowmeter is installed in an inaccessible location or where there is excessive vibration likely to cause damage to the electronic components, for example on Engine Driven Pumps or some Applicators with restricted space.

Krohne Flowmeter Specification:

• Fitted with PN16 8 bolt Flanges (on 100mm)
• Available in 100mm or 150 mm tube
• Pre wired with dedicated Screen Cable

• Supplied with Rubber Gaskets and M20 Earth Tags

Krohne Remote Head Specification

• Operates on 15-32v DC but a voltage converter can be installed for 12v applications – please provide information at the time of order.
• Head must be attached to a firm base but away from any vibration area.
• Connected to the Sensor with dedicated Screen Cables all pre-installed - *see below
• Programmed ready for use.
• Can be made compatible with SIL controls.
• The two units can be up to 50 mtrs apart but there has to be good and practical conditions for cable runs

Tanlake DD Slurry Monitor

This is a comprehensive in-cab computer which reads the information from the Flowmeter and translates it into a number of read-out options, having gained additional information from GPS Speed Sensor, Radar, Implement Sensors or any other means of Speed Detection fitted.  

The Operator is given a visual display of all the information which can be downloaded against a specific customer or field reference.  This information includes flow rate(M3/hr), application rates, forward speed, area covered, and time and date.  In conjunction with a lap top computer it will hold any number of different tasks or customer details for downloading.   The download is performed using a USB stick onto purpose written software that is Microsoft compatible allowing for the preparation of Word or Excel documents.

Forward speed can be obtained from a number of sources including Trimble devices as well as the on-board Tractor electronics.

The Device is lightweight, has soft touch buttons, and secures to a side window with its own Suction Pad Holder.

Fitting

The Flow Monitor and Flowmeter are easily fitted and are supplied with Wiring Loom and comprehensive instructions.  Connection to the Flowmeter is with a single cable which is easily  detachable from the wiring loom when the units are separated.

In difficult applications a Survey can be carried out and expert advice given on best practice and use. Staff training can be given on site if required, but telephone support is always available.

As there are so many variations of pipework on tankers, in the ideal world provision needs to be made for a Flowmeter at the time of manufacture.
Tanlake Flowmetering work with many manufacturers along these lines. 
If the Flowmeter is to be retrofitted then a detailed survey needs to be carried out to find the best location for the flowmeter or a suitable location on the spreading implement. Both options are shown in the adjacent photographs.
